Day01 Chongqing/Chengdu/Danba(692km)
Morning taking the car from Chongqing-chengdu –yaan Hwy
along the Baoxing, up the Mt. Jiajin to Danba. After Danba,
head forward to the Danba Bridge? The only door for the
Xiaojin County and Danba County, then enter into Danba
County to view the splendid Tibetan blockhouse.

Danba/Tagong/Xindu Bridge(261km)
After breakfast,drive to Tagong grassland to worship
Tagong Temple, then head forward to Xindu? The heaven for

Xindu Bridge/Batang(398km)
From Xindu, along the Yajiang, up to Mt.
Jiangziwan(4658m),at last get to the first high town-Litang
.At the environs, there is one resplendent and magnificent
temple Changqingchunke Temple. Afternoon to Mt.Haizi,
Visit Sister Lake which is sealed by the ice and Rekang
Hot-spring and Nature reservation in Cuopu channel, then
get to Batang old town overnight at Batang County.

Bridge to Litang are asphalt road with little rough road,
but in total, it is good.

Batang/zuogong(249km)
Stride the Jinsha River to the Tibetan area, at the
conjunction of Dianzang road and Chuanzang road Mangkang
have dinner. Then up to Mt. Jueba, Lawu and Mt. Dongda
which is nearly 6000 metres, get to Zuogong Through the
road is not very good, yet there are many cattle and sheep
along the road, in the evening ,get to Zuogong county.

Zuogong/Basu/Ranwu(290km)
Morning set off, along Bangda ,up to Lashan. On this
route, the road is flexuous ,but the scene here is very
beautiful. Along the graceful road with hollow and grass,
overlook the snow mountain and glacier. At night, you have
to return to Ranwu town to enjoy the alpine like
scenery.(If the guests want to visit Laigu Glacier, the
guests have to buy the exchange fee of the car by

Get up early, enjoy the beauty of Ranwu Lake by
yourselves, after lunch, drive out of Ranwu Town, along

Bomi/Niyang beauty spot/Bayi(233km)
Head for the conjunction of Niyang River and Yarlung
Tsangpu River and get to Pai Town of the Yarlung Tsangpu
River. We have arranged speacially the trekking to the
best touring sites in Mt. Nanjiabawa Daduka. If the
weather is fine, you will have a chance to have a view of
Mt. Nanjiabawa.From the Zhamu town of Bomi County,through
the aboriginal forest,head for the last natural barrier
Maitong.at the process from Maitong to Pailong 15km
place,there is floodwater and bolar collapse which break
off the use of the road,and the famous 102 coast are at
there.After Pailong,the road state turns good,pass through
the thick Mulang which is another good place for
overlooking the Nanjiabawa.Up to Mt. Selaji to get to Bayi
town(2400m) which is far from 19km to visit the Cypress

Generally speaking, the Sichuan-Tibet line is not very
good. But the Sichuan-Tibet west line in Sichuan is much
better, except Chengdu to Ganzi is bituminous macadam, the
rest are all the rough road. Like the Sichuan-Tibet south
line, the west line have to cross the high mountains,
trickle the rivulets and many of them are repired at the
cliff with sporadic landslide. The more harder, the more
beautiful view at the cliffs which give the lovers a great
allure.

The accommodation in Sichuan is much better than Tibet,
during the process in Mt. Siguniang, Xiaojin, Danba, Luhuo
it is much better, but all the rest of small hotels
accommodation and sanitation is very bad. Before
departure,
you`d better to bring along with one sleeping bag.
Emphasising that the youth hostel in these areas are much
better than the ordinary hotel with low price, neatness.
The livers in it are all the tourists which can make you
know more information from the others.

This
is one hard route ,before you go, with the well- prepared.
Before the road of Danba, the meals are good, but after
it, the meals are dominated with Tibetan food. During this
route, there are little small restaurant, if you are
unaccustomed with the Tibetan food, you'd better bring
enough food and fast food.
The
Best Season to Go:
Spring/Winter with more rain and snow, the road is slosh
and with more landslide, so it is better not audacious to
ride the car to there. Contrary, the best season to go is
summer and autumn, but always remember that avoid the
rainy season.

Day01 Chongqing/Chengdu/Danba(650km)
Morning drive the car along the Chongqing-Chengdu-Ya'an
highway to cross the Jinjia Mountain, after there, head
for Danba. Along the road, visit Xiaojin paddy, pass
through the Danba Bridge---which is the only door of the
Xiaojin County and Danba County to get to Danba County, at
the Suopo village visit splendid Tibetan blockhouse.

Danba/Daofu/Luhuo(230km)
After breakfast,visit Danba Tibetan village,along the
Donggu Bonsai beauty spot and Bamei grassland beauty spot
to visit Tagong Temple which is the Kangba Tibetan Saga

through the Xianshui River where have one earthquake

After breakfast visit Shengli White Tower,Shouling

Wing`s temple just at there.Along the Maligange to Maergan
situated in Mt. Que`er(6184km high) and is 7-8km from
MaerganAt there,not only the altitude is very high,but
also the raod is very steep,incommodious and sloppy with

Out of Dege,along the Gangtuo Bridge in Jinsha to the
Chamdo area of Jiangda.Jiangda is the first county of the
Sichuan Tibet west line enter into Tibet,which is situated
in northeast of the Chamdo area,Jinsha upriver.From
Jiangda,along the 4000m high mountain,through 4 mountain
pass,up to Mt. Mala get to Chamdo,visit Jampaling
Monastery and Karuo Ruins.Jampaling Monastery built in
1437 which is Chamdo Monasery for short and is the
earliest/biggest monastery in Kang area of Gelu Wing.Karuo
Ruins(3100m) situated at the west of Langcang River,far
from 12km from Chamdo Area.

Chamdo/Bada/Basu(265km)
From Chamdo to Bangda(4400km) is the conjunction of south
line and the west line.Farewell the grassland,up the
biggest natural barrier of the Hengduan Mountain---Nujiang

lakeside of Nujiang to get to Basu. Overnight

Along the meadow,overlook glaciers get to Ranwu Lake.At

up from your hotel, then we leave Lhasa to Naqu. on
the way, you will have a chance to enjoy the hot-spring at

huge grassland of Naqu and have a chance to see the
sky road- Qinghai Tibet Railway passing through, it looks
like a dragon. Then the Nyenchen Thanglha snow mountain
ranges appear in front of you, and also you will pass the
Nagela Pass. Namtso Lake is the Heavenly lake which is one
of the three holy lakes of Tibet (other two is Yamdrotso

Tuotuoheyan - Golmud 420km
Driving through the vast wilderness and Tsaidam meadow on
theTibet-Qinghai-Plateau along the road in the foot of the
Kunlun-mountain and go on upwards by steep valley to cross
over the 4.837 meters high Kunlun Pass. Late in the
afternoon arrive in Dulan, which is a civilazation center
where Tibetan culture and Han culture melt each other.

Driving through the Tsaidam basin, among which most part
is desert with some oasis dotted in. This basin lies in
the north of the Amnyemaqen mountain and the road to Dulan
is just along the foot of the mountain. The Xiangride
oasis is the last oneseen in this desert. Late in the

Dulan - Koko Nor Lake 320 km
In the morning driving to Koko Nor Lake, the biggest salty
lake in China, with an area of 4,500 square kilometers and
an altitude of 3,194m above sea level. The big lake is
acclaimed as "pearl on the highland" and the
scenery of which is unusually fascinating and appears
different shapes even at the same time. "Koko
Nor" in Mongolian language means "blue
lake" because of its lunar shape and color. In
addition a small island known as "the heaven of the
birds" lies in the lake. After a approx. 200 km long
driving make a short stopover by the Tsaka salty lake
where even the wind should be salty. Late in the afternoon
arrive in Koko

Koko Nor Lake - Kumbum - Xining 210 km
In the morning driving to Kumbum Monastery (Ta'er Si) of
Gelukpa-sect, which was built in 1560 in Huangzhong county
and also one of the six grand monasteries in Tibet.
Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Lamaistic "yellow hat
sect", was born here. As Kumbum-monastery has always
been playing an important role to connect the Mongolian
with the Lamaism, today many Mongolian come to this place
for worship. Then cross over Sun-and-Moon mountain (Ri Yue
Shan). In 641 Wencheng princess of Tang Dynasty passed
by this mountain where today a sun-pavilion and a
moon-pavilion are built on the summit for people to have a
break. The Sun-and-Moon mountain has always been an
distinguish line between meadow and agriculture area.

Xining - Tongren- Xiahe 260km
Driving to Tongren in the morning. Visiting Longwu
monastery of Gelukpa sect which was initially constructed
in Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) as a monastery of Sakya-sect
and Wutun village the center of Tibetan Regong-Art, which
is a successful mixture of religion and folk art.

Xiahe - Lanzhou 280km
In the morning driving to Lanzhou, which is the capital of
Gansu province, is in the middle of loess plateau of China
and has long been an important city on the Silk Road in
history. The Yellow river flows through the whole Gansu
province
